Opening file to a draped and simulated garment rather than reset pattern pieces

Evren Resim

Hello Support Team,

I noticed when opening a z-weave file, the pattern pieces are reset and the drape and simulation are lost. I usually have saved a drape history, so I can simply click on the latest drape. However, this is not possible when experiencing a crash. As a work-around, I deleted all the patterns, saved only the updated pattern, and appended to the previous scene before the crash. However I noticed when I appended the new z-weave file, it resets all the pattern arrangement as well. I cannot go back to the drape history because it will not have the new pattern data from the appended file. I will try importing as a DXF next. However, it would be ideal to have the z-weave file open with the drape simulation data and not have the patterns reset upon opening the project file or appending. Thank you very much for your consideration.

    Hi Evren,

    Sorry for the late response!

Yes, you are correct. When you open a file in z-weave, the pattern pieses are reset. And our program doesn't automatically save draping histories when it crashes because there is a possibility that temp files can slow down the program.

But we understand your issue/concern thus will definitely consider improving our auto saving feature.

    Appreciate it!
