Custom Avatars

Overview

Custom avatar is a function that imports customized avatars.

Location

UI Panel > Avatar > Custom > Avatar settings > Custom folder

Operation Method

  1. Go to UI Panel > Custom > Avatar settings > Custom folder
  2. Click the + icon (New avatar) and select the ***.OBJ/ *.FBX/ *.GLB/ *.glTF/ .USD/ .Alembic format to import.
  3. The imported avatar will appear on the list.

    • Split per-vertex Normals option should be turned on when you export OBJ and FBX from MAYA to use it as an avatar in z-weave.

Components

FBX parameters

  • Repeat animation

    This option repeats the animation of the avatar.

  • Select animation

    This option allows you to choose which animation to use when your avatar has multiple animations.

  • mesh parts

    This option allows you to choose which mesh to use when your avatar is composed of multiple meshes.
