Custom Buttonhole

Overview

Custom Buttonhole is a function for importing buttonholes of various formats to add in the Buttonhole Materials list.

 

Location

UI Panel > Properties > Buttonhole Materials

 

Operation Method

Creation

  1. Select the buttonhole via Buttonhole Selection Mode.

    Or click the Buttonhole tool on the 2D menu via UI Panel > Properties > Buttonhole Materials.

  2. Press Go Up in the Default folder via UI Panel > Properties > Buttonhole Materials to go to the parent folder, then click on the Custom folder.

  3. Click on the New Material icon in the Custom folder, and select the buttonhole material.
  4. Or drag-and-drop a supported file format and place via UI Panel > Properties > Buttonhole Materials > Custom.

    Supported formats: u3m, xtex, png, jpg, bmp

  5. You can check the buttonhole added in the Buttonhole Materials list.

Buttonhole Application

  1. Select the buttonhole to change in Button Selection Mode.
  2. Double-click on the buttonhole via UI Panel > Properties > Buttonhole Materials.
  3. The applied buttonhole will appear in 2D and 3D views.
    ※Note: Buttonhole texture in 2D view is shown in a state with texture activated via the 2D menu.

Components

u3m

A file format that includes the repeat size, map, and physic.
Importing an u3m file loads the included map image.

 

xtex

A file format that includes the repeat size and map.
Importing a xtex file loads the included map image.

 

png, jpg, bmp

These image file formats can be used to create new buttonholes.
Importing these file types loads the image used as the base color.

※Note: Unlike fabrics, buttonholes only support base color and normal maps.
