Overview
Tack/Pin is a function for fixing the surface in point units.
You can use Tack to fix on the surface or an avatar, and Pin to attach the surface in the air.
Location
Menu > Edit > Tack
Menu > Edit > Pin
Operation Method
Tack
- Click Menu > Edit > Tack to change the mouse cursor to tack mode.

Click on a location on the surface to create one side of the tack.

Click the location where the tack was made earlier to create another tack on the opposite side to make a pair. The order of 2 and 3 is irrelevant. However, it must be composed of pairs of surface–surface or surface–avatar.

You can check the pair of connected tacks by selecting them in Pin/Tack selection mode
After running the simulation, you can figure out how far apart the tacks are. -
When the simulation is paused, tacks can be added, moved, enabled/disabled.
※ Notes: You can select all tacks by context menu in Pin/Tack Selection Mode.
Pin

Click Menu > Edit > Pin to change the mouse cursor to pin mode.

Click on a location on the surface to create a pin.

You can fix the exact location of pins when running the simulation.

When the simulation is paused, pins can be added, moved, enabled/disabled.
※ Notes: You can select all pins by context menu in Pin/Tack Selection Mode.
Components
Tack
Two tacks make up a pair, so options applied to one tack will automatically apply to the other tack.
Distance | This value is for adjusting the distance between a pair of tacks. |
Strength |
This value is for setting how strongly to tacks are attached. |
Enable | This function is for enabling/disabling tack. |
Show in 3D View | This function is for hiding the orange sphere that displays tack in 3D view. |
Pin
Enable | This function is for enabling/disabling the pin. |
Show in 3D View |
This function is for hiding the green sphere that displays pin in 3D view. |
