Overview

Deform is a function to roll the surface so that it is properly placed on the avatar.

Location

Surface > UI Panel > Properties > Deform Parameter Surface > X axis (Shift+mouse scroll) Surface > Y axis (Ctrl+mouse scroll) Surface > Spiral (Alt+mouse scroll)

Operation Method

  1. Place the surface in the 3D view.
  2. Select the surface to deform in Surfaces Selection Mode.
  3. Enter the value for the X axis, Y axis, and Spiral via UI Panel> Properties> Pattern Properties> Deform Parameters.
  4. Roll the surface around according to the value in the 3D view.

Components

X/Y axes

X/Y axes values can be adjusted to set the degree of roundness to roll the surface in the X/Y axes. When the value is a positive number, it rolls in the direction of the surface (=Normal direction). When the value is a negative number, it rolls in the opposite direction of the surface.

※ Note: Surface direction can be checked via Menu > View > Normal.

Spiral

This option is for switching the direction of the surface spiral. It determines which side to raise the end of the shape.

When the value is a negative number, the right side of the surface (seen from the front) is raised and covers the left side. When the value is a positive number, the left side of the surface is raised and covers the right side.

Spiral  This option is for switching the direction of the surface spiral. It determines which side to raise the end of the shape.

Angle

This option is for changing the axis of rolling.
