Combine/ Combine Force

Overview

The Combine and Combine force make the curves smoother and less number points.

2D View > Line / Curve > Context Menu > Combine

Select curves in Curves/Points Selection Mode.
Right-click on the selected curve to open the context menu, then select Combine.
Set the curve length and curve connection angle in the Combine Conditions Dialog Box, then click OK.
The lines/ curves will combine naturally with fewer segments than before.

Right-click on the selected curve to open the context menu, then select Combine Force.
The lines/ curves will combine naturally with fewer segments than before.

The Combine makes the curves smoother and less number points with specific options.

Curve Length

Only segments with a length shorter than the value set by the curve length can be used to combine.

Combine maintains shapes better with smaller values and is less effective for shapes with larger values.

Example:

When setting the curve length at 5cm, the curves shorter than 5cm (0–5 cm) will combine to create curves with segments longer than 5cm (5+ cm).
Curve Connection Angle

The Combine function is only possible when the supplementary angle made between lines/ curves is smaller than the curve connection angle. For example, when the angle between curves is A, the Combine function is only possible if the curve connection angle is smaller than 180°-A°.

Combine maintains shapes better with smaller values and is less effective for shapes with larger values.

Example:

If the angle making up the two connected curves is 165°, the supplementary angle for this is 15° (180°-165°). If the curve connection angle exceeds 15°, the corresponding curve will combine, but it cannot be combined if it is less than 15°.

Combine Force is a function that forcefully connects selected curves into a minimum curve segment without any specific conditions.
