Overview

The Surface tool is used to create new surfaces by selecting closed curves in 2D view. It is useful for converting the pattern drawn using inner curves to a surface.

Location

2D View > 2D Menu > Surface

Operation Method

1. Click on the 2D menu, then select Surface.
2. Select the inner curves / outline / outer curves that make up the closed figure. Make sure the selected curve is a closed figure with all lines connected, The tool will be enabled if different types of curves are selected.
3. Press the Enter key to create a surface from the selected curves.
4. The surface will generate as the inside of the closed curves fill up. If the surface does not generate, check whether there are small gaps between lines/ curves. If so, snap so that there are no gaps left.
