Objective

Curve is a line between Point and Point in 2D View.
Users are able to select Curve by 2D Selection Tool > All/Curves.

Factor

Outline

Outline is curve which construct Surface outer edges.
In 2D View, it appears as a black line filled inside.

Inner Curve

Inner Curve is curve which belongs to Surface. Inner Curve is selected with Surface at the same time and moved together.
In 2D View, the default 180°(flat) Inner Curve is shown as a blue line.
Besides, when users put angle on Inner Curve, if the angle is over 180°, it is displayed as purple line and if it is less 180°, it is displayed as yellow line.

Outer Curve

Outer Curve is curve which doesn’t belong to Surface. Unlike the Inner Curve, it operates and moves independently of the Surface.
In 2D View, it appears as a black line not filled inside.
If users delete one of multiple connected Outer Curves, the entire Outer Curve is deleted.
Outer Curve is useful when executing Scissor for overlapped Surfaces.

Deactivated Curve

Deactivated Curve is not allowed to select in All/Curves Selection Mode so it could be used for baseline.
In 2D View, it is shown as a green line.
Deactivated Curve is allow to select by 2D Selection Tool > Deactivated Selection Mode.

Curve

Inner Curve

Operation Method 1_Curve Tool

1.
Select 2D Action Toolbar > Curve Tool (Q).
2.
Pick a start point on a Surface in 2D View.
3.
Then click other point to create straight a Line. Or Dragging mouse cursor while picking other points creates a Curve.
4.
Press Enter or right click to create the Inner Curve.
5.
Inner Curve is created along the shape drawn by Curve Tool.

Operation Method 2_Make Inner

1.
Place Outer Curve and Outline inside a Surface.
2.
Select Curve you want to convert to Inner Curve in Curves Selection Mode.
3.
Apply Curve > Right Click > Context Menu > Make Inner on Curve.
4.
Curve is converted to Inner Curve belonging to the Surface.

Outline

Operation Method 1_Curve Tool

1.
Select 2D Action Toolbar > Curve Tool (Q).
2.
Pick a start point on any blank space in 2D View.
3.
Create more than 3 points and go back to the start point to close curves and make a Surface.
4.
The Surface is created as the inside of the closed curve is filled.

Operation Method 2_Rectangle/Circle Tool

1.
Select 2D Action Toolbar > Rectangle Tool (R)/ Circle Tool (E).
2.
Pick a start point on any blank space in 2D View.
3.
Create desired size of figure by mouse dragging.

Operation Method 3_Surface Tool

1.
Select 2D Action Toolbar > Surface Tool (W).
2.
Select Inner Curve/Outline/Outer Curve that form a closed shape.
3.
Create the Surface.
4.
Press Enter to create a Surface composed of the selected Curve.
(Selected Curve should construct closed figure and multiple types of Curve allow to select at time same time.)
5.
The Surface is created as the inside of the closed curve is filled.

Operation Method 4_DXF Import

1.
Go to Menu Bar > File > Import > DXF.
2.
Select DXF format file in the file explorer.
3.
Set options on Import Option message box and click OK button.
4.
DXF Pattern appears as Surface in 2D View.

Outer Curve

Operation Method 1_Curve Tool

1.
Select 2D Action Toolbar > Curve Tool (Q).
2.
Pick a start point on any blank space in 2D View.
3.
Then click other point to create straight a Line. Or Dragging mouse cursor while picking other points creates a Curve.
4.
Draw desired Curve shape and press Enter or right click to create Outer Curve.
5.
Outer Curve is created along the shape drawn by Curve Tool.

Operation Method 2_Separate from Surface

1.
Select Inner Curve you want to convert to Outer Curve in Curves Selection Mode.
(Selected Inner Curve should not construct closed figure. If selected Inner Curve construct closed figure, it will be converted to Surface.)
2.
Apply Curve > Right Click > Context Menu > Separate from Surface on selected Inner Curve.
3.
Inner Curve is converted to Outer Curve separated from Surface.

Deactivated Curve

Operation Method

1.
Select Inner Curve you want to convert to Deactivated Curve in Curves Selection Mode.
2.
Turn off Curve > Right Click > Context Menu > Active option.
3.
Inner Curve is converted to Deactivated Curve and the color changes to green.
Deactivated Curve is not allowed to select in All/Curves Selection Mode but only in Deactivated Selection Mode.

Selection Method 1_ Multi Select Curves (Ctrl)

1.
Select Curve by All /Curves Selection Mode
2.
Select another Curve while pressing Ctrl key.
3.
The Curves are multi-selected.

Selection Method 2_ Multi Select Consecutive Curves (Shift)

1.
Select Start Curve by All /Curves Selection Mode
2.
Select another Curve as End Curve while pressing Shift key.
3.
The Curves between Start Curve to End Curve are multi-selected.
